The North Face Lynx

The North Face Lynx 1 The North Face is known for its high quality products for extreme conditions. The company produces also interesting outdoor gear for the casual users. We take a look at a new sleeping bag model from The North Face, called Lynx. The North Face Lynx is a synthetic filled, highly compressible, ultralight sleeping bag designed for summer camping and other outdoor activities. For hiking this bag could be really nice, because the weight of the bag has been kept suprisingly low considering its temperature limits. Lynx is available as left and right hand versions. Sizes available are regular and large.

Lynx features a Climashield Apex insulation which promises to deliver durability, compressibility and longevity in addition to retaining most of its insulating value when wet. The fill is protected from outside moisture and frost by the durable, lightweight, nylon ripstop shell that has a water-repellent finish. A contoured footbox keeps feet warm and blood circulating whilst eliminating dead airspace. The hood of the Lynx sleeping bag is ergonomically designed for maximum warmth and comfort.

The North Face Lynx is a suprisingly light-weight 40 degree sleeping bag, which can be recommended especially for hikes in the summer time. This bag could actually be my next choice as the price of the bag is very tempting, under $150 at many online stores.
